Christmas Capers

Christmas was kicked off this year in the right vein. Faith "starred" in her Christmas play this year at school. I love that she got to act out the Christmas story! She actually did double duty as a townsperson when she sang her solo. You can see that video below.

Of course we had to make Santa his cookies. I think this is why Ryan wants to hold out on the whole Santa thing:)

Christmas morning Santa made his appearance and left things a little discombobulated. Though he took his reindeer food, he apparently littered, becuase we found the bag in a tree by our house. He also never remembers to put the fireplace guard back. I guess it's because his jolly figure doesn't allow for it.

"We'll just wash our hands quick before starting in on the stocking stuffers."

It's amazing how quickly kids can accomplish wrapping and playing with all their toys, yet if you tell them to go get you something from the kitchen, it takes approximately the same amount of time.

We put this together for Ryan's gift.

We flew to MN a week before Christmas.  Though most of the kids are sick by this point, Christmas morning and being with their cousins always puts a smile on their face.

Zachary was so compliant for this picture I had to add it.

And I think this perfectly captures this relationship right now... I love how Ryan (Lins) appears to be keeping an eye on the situation in the background.

As usual, we made our way to Dallas after MN.  We only stayed one night though, because by this point the kids were all sick (we later found out they all had ear infections) and we had to make our exit.  Zachary is very into guns right now, so this was a winner (for a while at least).  Once he got home, his toy golf clubs were still the best guns.

What a blessing from God is His children, that He allows us to care for them on this earth!

Love you all,
