Faith is Five!

Faith turned 5 today!  Since this was a mile marker birthday, we decided to spread it out over the month of April:)  It started at the beginning of the month when the Lins' were here and we celebrated Josiah and Faith's birthdays together at the beloved "Pizza Place" (America's Incredible Pizza)

Then a couple of weeks ago, she and her friend Wren went to Build a Bear to pick out a new animal friend to stuff and take home.  Of course I forgot my camera, agh!  This was my version of her birthday cake this year, one for each girl.  Ryan will do the main cake when we celebrate with his family this weekend.  Be looking for that!

Today she woke up to her breakfast request of bacon, eggs and banana bread (I had to add strawberries to make a face).  This evening we went out to Morgan's Wonderland since Rotary had rented the place out.  They served dinner and we got to check the place out.   It was a blast!  I'm hoping it'll take till late morning to sleep it off:)

Current Faith Faves (in no particular order):
Painting her nails
Playing with barbies/dolls
Riding her bike
Changing Drew
Drawing mermaids (she uses a "w" to start drawing the tail)
Going to BSF
Giving gifts (especially putting the gift bag together, I find ribbons and tissue paper all over the house when she's in the gift giving mood)
Having tea with her mom (in one of her antique tea cups) with tea cakes of course! (Little Debbie does a great job:)
Going to Sea World/Six Flags with her dad and playing the carnival games for prizes
Staying over night at Grandmommy and Grandpoppy's house
Webcamming with Nana and Papa and the cousins

Happy Birthday Faith!  We love you so much and are blessed by your big heart, creative mind and desire to do what is right!

Servant Hearts

I would love to say that is true about this picture.  And really, it is true of Faith.  We had washed her feet off becuase they had gotten so dirty in her sandals.  So she was returning the favor.  When Zachary saw wet wipes were involved, he quickly joined in.  However, he felt the need to use one wipe per swipe so we had to cut the act of humility short.

We Are Family...

All my brothers, cousins and me!  We had a special visit from the Lins family last week and it was WILD!  Here's everyone waiting and excited!

Zach even helped wash the car (notice the bubbles covering his face and hands) in preparation for their arrival.  He should, he makes most of the mess.

And here is the newest Lins with Drew.  They are exactly one month apart to the day.   The only difference is Wyatt is a Lins and was not content to stay on his back and check things out.  He is working on those core muscles and constantly flipping over.  It was a miracle I was quick enough to get this picture before he was on his back looking at Droolin' Drew.

Another perspective shot.

We were able to attend the Kid's Parade at the Botanical Gardens with everyone.  My Fiesta Faith was born on the Battle of Flowers parade day in 2006.

Zach was Tuckered out after a few days at the beach and then Fiesta-ing!  That is my nephew in the batman bottoms.  We told him that people really dress up for Fiesta and so he did.

Today Ryan and his dad took Faith and Zach to the spring game at A&M.  They spent most of their time trying to keep gravel our of Zach's mouth and blocking him from running on the field after the players.  They ended up leaving before the game was done since Zach entered impertinent mode fairly early.  Poor Ryan, he just wants to enjoy a football game semi-uinterrupted.   Maybe in about 18 years.
